Your Dog Is Trying to Teach You Something
This page explains how Dr. Kim teaches through stories, short writings, audio, and practical reflection. The focus is not on doing more to or for your dog, but on thinking, speaking, and living differently.
If you are expecting another list of fixes, this is not that. Dr. Kim’s work starts with a harder question: what if your dog is reflecting what is going on in you? Fear, strain, and constant worry do not stay hidden. Animals pick up on them.
Here, dogs are not treated as projects to manage. They are teachers. Through their lives and stories, you are invited to notice your patterns, your words, and the way you respond to stress. As your thinking changes, your relationship with your dog can change too.
The aim is simple: less panic, less chasing, and more peace, attention, and right alignment with natural design. That shift affects both you and your dog.
What you’ll find here
Stories that change how you see your dog
Dr. Kim teaches through the lives of her dogs, using real stories to help you notice what your dog may be mirroring back to you.
Short teachings you can return to often
Expect eBooks, articles, blog-style reflections, audio teachings, some video, and brief wisdom nuggets you can sit with at your own pace.
A direct message about anxiety and fear
This teaching does not soften the point. If your home is ruled by worry, your dog feels it. The work begins by facing that honestly.
A different view of animal well-being
The focus is not more products for every problem. It is learning to think and speak life in a way that supports your dog’s natural thriving.

Animals Taught Me That
Animals Taught Me That is an encouraging memoir and detailed account of how Dr. Kim Bloomer learned all of the most important lessons life has for us through the love and friendship of God's creatures.
Be Transformed, Be Renewed, Be Well
This is a short wellness allegory I wrote in 2016. This is my own story as told in third person and in first dog because my dogs are always my inspiration.
Essential Oils in Animal Care: A Naturopathic Approach
This is not a comprehensive desk reference but rather an approach to using essential oils with animals that asks us to shift our thinking to a more dynamic way of using aromatherapy with animals.
Common questions
Is this about blaming me for my dog’s problems?+
No. The point is never shame, condemnation or guilt. In truth it is the opposite to empower you so you and your dog both thrive. If your thoughts, words, and emotional patterns affect your dog (those are affecting you as well of course), then change is possible, and that is hopeful.
Will this replace practical care for my dog?+
No. Dr. Kim’s teaching helps you look at the inner and relational side of what is happening. It adds a deeper layer of reflection rather than thinking every issue has one simple cause. Practical care will always be the foundation but not the focus as there are so many sources for the practical care these days. However, the core messaging here goes to another level for you and your dog as partners.
What if I feel stuck in fear already?+
Then this is a good place to begin. Start small. Read, listen, and pay attention to your words, your reactions, and what your dog may be showing you each day. Be prepared to have your questions answered with questions often as the goal is always to empower you rather than make you dependent.
Who is this for?+
This is for people who are open to seeing their dogs differently and are willing to examine their own thinking. If you want honest, faith-rooted reflection instead of another quick fix, you may find this helpful.
